Pinch FurnitureIt’s a big year for Pinch, the exceptionally fine, perfectly simple furniture brand launched by dedicated partners in crime Russell Pinch and Oona Bannon 15 years ago. In the summer, they opened their second London store, a double-fronted gallery space in Belgravia’s Ebury Street, to showcase the full range of their contemporary living room collections including upholstery, cabinetry, dining furniture and lighting. The original Bourne Street shop is now dedicated to the intimate world of bedroom furniture.

To celebrate their 15th year in business, the husband and wife team, whose studio is based in Clapham, are hosting a series of events and celebrations including a trunk show with Lane Crawford in Hong Kong in October, as well as producing 15 new Pinch products, including the super elegant Christo bed – guaranteed to give you the sweetest of dreams, especially when paired with their Iona cheval mirror and Lana dressing table. They will also be introducing two new armchairs, a sofa and a timeless bench.

We are also not sure how we can live without their new stacking stools, to accompany their highly successful Avery chairs. Designed with a neat footprint, in finest quality European oak, they are an instant necessity in any dining room or kitchen, typically both refined and functional.

‘It has always been important to us that we make furniture that we would want in our own home,’ they say, ‘and these new pieces perfectly demonstrate our ongoing focus on both the importance of the simplicity of shape and the materials used when crafting a new work – especially in the upholstery and quality of the wood that we work with.’
